Why Toyo University?

Among the many comprehensive private universities in Tokyo, Toyo University stands out in a class by itself. Boasting more than 125 years of academic distinction, we are famous in Japan for our excellence in education and research. Toyo University consists of 4 campuses which house 11 faculties and 44 academic sections, and we are expanding all the time. In spring 2017, we will open a 5th campus and 2 new academic faculties. Our main campus, Hakusan, is located in Bunkyo City, which is highly regarded among Tokyoites for its many academic institutions and popular urban traditions.

Toyo University was recently selected for the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sport, Science, and Technology (MEXT)’s Top Global University Project. The generous grants we receive through this project will help us achieve our vision of offering our students a truly global education.
