Programs for High School Students at Columbia University

Programs for High School Students

For over 30 years, Columbia University’s Pre-College Programs have combined academic rigor and instructional excellence with careful supervision and support. Courses are offered year-round. In the fall and spring, students in grades 9-12 participate for ten weekends. In summer, students may choose to participate online for 1 or 2 weeks or in person for 1 or 3 weeks. Columbia offers more than 90 intensive, noncredit courses for an in-depth examination of a specific subject area.

Columbia also allows the highest achieving students in grades 11-12 the opportunity to take courses for college credit alongside Columbia undergrads and visiting students in the College Edge, an in-person, commuter program.
