NSHSS Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in Teaching Grant
Three (3) $1,500 awards
Any registered NSHSS Educator* that works with high school students in an academic capacity both in the US and internationally.
*We invite school social workers, counselors, homeschool educators, test prep professionals, teachers, administrators, etc. to register for free as an NSHSS educator and begin applying for NSHSS grants.
Grant Details:
This NSHSS Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in Teaching Grant is for educators who serve in rural areas, diverse student populations, or are actively promoting diversity and inclusion initiatives in their school or greater community. NSHSS is giving three (3) high school educators $1,500 grants to help promote these initiatives. Applicants should provide their school’s demographics and explain how the funds will directly benefit their students. Funds may be used for supplies, materials, field trips or other resources to enhance the delivery of courses.
NSHSS Educators are eligible to receive one NSHSS grant per calendar year.
Application Requirements:
- Prompt response of 500-800 words to the following question:
- What is the most effective method you use to foster DEI in your classroom? Please give one specific example.
- Pictures/videos/media showing your leadership in action (optional but strongly encouraged)
- Principal/Administrator recommendation
- Professional resume
- Color headshot
