Kristen Vann
Kristen Vann is a National Board-certified English teacher at Academic Magnet High School in North Charleston, SC. She teaches courses in the AP Capstone program and is an assistant coach for the Academic team. Ms. Vann is originally from Asheville, NC, where she received her bachelor’s degree and teaching license from UNC Asheville. She received her Masters in English from Western Carolina University, concentrating in Rhetoric and Professional Writing .
Clubs and extracurricular activities allow students to develop leadership skills and find ways to contribute meaningfully to their community. Club advisors and sponsors often support these clubs with their own funds or through fundraising activities. To support our outstanding educators and the clubs they oversee, NSHSS is awarding ten (10) NSHSS Educators a $500 grant to help provide additional opportunities to their student clubs.
