NSHSS Member Event at The University of Texas at Austin

On Saturday, February 1, NSHSS members and their families are invited to Austin, Texas, for a Member Event at The University of Texas at Austin!

This one-day event will include a networking breakfast, educational sessions, helpful information about UT Austin, a College & Career Fair, and more! Members will learn more about UT, get the chance to speak to university representatives, and discover why this SEC university is one of the highest-ranking public Universities in the country.

The event will end with the NSHSS Member Recognition Ceremony, where each member will be honored for their academic achievements!

Event Agenda

This agenda is subject to change. Final details will be sent to ticket holders via Eventbrite 2 days before the event.

Attendees will check in with a digital or printed copy of their tickets, and members will receive name badges.

Attendees will be able to gather information from College & Career Fair exhibitors. NSHSS will provide a catered continental breakfast for all event participants to enjoy while they speak to exhibitors and other members!

NSHSS will welcome attendees to campus, and then UT Austin Admissions staff will guide them through an informative presentation about the university.

Attendees will have the chance to gather information from College & Career Fair exhibitors, further explore the UT Austin campus, and visit nearby eateries for lunch on their own.

Hear from a panel of NSHSS Scholarship winners about how to find and apply for scholarships and stand out in your applications!

The University of Texas at Austin Army ROTC, will host an educational workshop discussing scholarship opportunities and how being in the Army develops you as a leader and sets you up for success in both the private and public sector.

NSHSS Members will hear from The University of Texas at Austin students about navigating campus life, choosing an appropriate major, and other general information about UT Austin.

NSHSS Scholarship Winners will be recognized, and members will hear congratulatory remarks and then receive their own NSHSS honor medallion!

Event Details

This event will take place in the Shirley Bird Perry Ballroom in the Texas Union on The University of Texas at Austin campus. 

2308 Whitis Ave., F4200, Austin, TX 78712

Event attendees should plan to park in the San Antonio Garage (SAG), the Rowling Hall Garage (RHG), or the Conference Center Garage (CCG). Parking fees will range from $3-$21 MAX for the day.

Attendees are responsible for getting to and from the event location. NSHSS does not assist with airfare or hotels. We recommend that you register as soon as possible. Seating is limited, and registration will close once we reach the venue's maximum capacity. Only those who register via Eventbrite will be admitted to the event. Registration fees are non-refundable.

Come a day early and take a campus tour hosted by The University of Texas at Austin! Self-guided tours are available the day of the event but if you would like a guided tour be sure to register ahead of time!

Are you interested in volunteering at this event? NSHSS is dedicated to world betterment and encourages our members to give back to their community. As a volunteer, you will still have the opportunity to attend the sessions that you are interested in throughout the day. Help out behind the scenes and earn volunteer service hours!
