All fee waivers require an application and cannot be processed over the phone.


It is our commitment that the membership fee and its payment never stand in the way of a qualified student becoming a member. However, since the membership fees provide for the services of all members, we do request that you carefully and honestly assess your abilities to pay the fee and request a fee waiver only when necessary.
NSHSS awards fee waivers to families experiencing financial hardships. To qualify for a fee waiver, a student must receive Medicaid, SNAP, or participate in the National School Lunch Program.
To submit a fee waiver request, please complete your NSHSS Membership Fee Waiver Application. You are required to upload the official approval letter from Medicaid, SNAP or Free/Reduced Lunch Program for the current calendar year. Make sure you have the official approval letter and NSHSS confirmation card ready before you start the application process. Your fee waiver application will be processed within four to six weeks.
