Be Honored. Be More.
NSHSS members explain how they go above and beyond to be more for their communities and the world.
The National Society of High School Scholars (NSHSS) is a legitimate organization that Mr. Claes Nobel of the Nobel Prize family, and Mr. James Lewis co-founded in 2002. NSHSS provides programs, resources, and opportunities that will help our high-achieving student members successfully transition through high school, college, and into a professional.
No, we are not just a fancy certificate and bumper sticker! NSHSS recognizes a diverse group of outstanding students who meet our high standards of academic achievement. An NSHSS member must be a student in high school and must meet one of these eight criteria. Our one-time $90 membership fee gives our members access to a lifetime of unique opportunities that will spark their academic interests and career aspirations. Members can also network with fellow scholars from around the globe, attend interactive events to connect with professionals from leading universities and renowned organizations, apply for scholarships, and more.
With so many options for outstanding students like yourself to join an honor society, you may be wondering what it’s really like to be a part of NSHSS. Well, look no further than online NSHSS reviews. We’ve taken the time to categorize and share our reviews from real people and actual members of NSHSS. These are students who have taken full advantage of NSHSS benefits, connected with their new-found community, and honed in on their leadership skills, sharing first-hand knowledge of NSHSS, which is more than you’ll get from someone who didn’t accept the NSHSS invitation!
“NSHSS is such an amazing program and it provides many young students, like myself, many amazing opportunities for them to take part in that can excel their academics. It provides many different things from scholarships, to study abroad experiences, to college interactions, and many more things. I am very thrilled to be a part of NSHSS and all the amazing things that they have to offer!”
“NSHSS is an amazing society! It has many opportunities such as scholarships, webinars, ACT/SAT prep, among others. I’ve been a member since July and it’s been an amazing experience! I completely recommend checking out NSHSS.”
“I have been a member of NSHSS since high school, and I am the current Collegiate Council Executive Board Vice President of Member Engagement. I was awarded a $1,000 NSHSS scholarship in STEM Innovation in Artificial Intelligence/Robotics. I continuously receive access to webinars and networking opportunities through NSHSS's many partners.”
"As a Collegiate Council member of NSHSS, I have been exposed to the wonderful opportunities NSHSS has to offer. I joined NSHSS in my 11th grade year of high school, and I'm still a member now as a Sophomore at the University of Texas at Dallas. NSHSS has given me many scholarship opportunities, leadership opportunities; there are also great webinars that they provide, and they really helped with my transition between high school and college. I first became an Ambassador of NSHSS during my senior year of college, and I recently applied for the Student Council position and was pleased to hear of my acceptance. I really learned a lot by being in this organization, and it's definitely helped me personally. I am excited for the opportunity to reach out to future NSHSS members and help them on their journeys as well.”
“I love being an ambassador because it has helped me get more involved, establish more connections, as well as improve and develop many skills like leadership. I’m so thankful for all the opportunities and scholarships NSHSS has to offer; especially the immense amount of insight it has given me about college prep.”
“Connecting with other members and ambassadors in the community has allowed me to grow and experience opportunities that have changed my perspective within the realm of networking, talking to individuals from around the world, and having the chance to tell my peers to become more interested in this incredible organization. The National Society of High School Scholars has opened many doors and paths to greater success for the members, ambassadors, and myself.”
“Being a part of NSHSS has been a gratifying experience in which I have learned so much. I have met amazing people and doors to new opportunities have opened ever since I joined. I am very glad to grow and improve alongside NSHSS.”
“The program helps (students) build a community, develop leadership skills, and grow in their own talents. I am now an ambassador for NSHSS, and it has been amazing to see the tight knit group of people who have come together to grow together. It is so interesting talking to people across the nation who you wouldn’t even know otherwise! This program has been such a blessing and I’m so happy to be part of it.”
“NSHSS has allowed me to not only meet new people but to also helped me become a leader in my society. From building a network of people who will support me to scholarships, NSHSS has taught me a lot and I can't wait to learn more.”
