Yale Young Global Scholars (YYGS) is one of the most globally diverse, two-week academic summer programs in the world. YYGS serves 2,000 students from over 150 countries and 50 U.S. states and distributes over $3 million USD in need-based financial aid to both domestic and international students.
The two-week residential program facilitates discussions on cutting-edge topics in academia, while students engage with like-minded peers around the world. Participants attend sessions based on their academic interest, including subjects in the humanities, social sciences, STEM topics, and a cross-disciplinary track that incorporates all of the above.
”YYGS gave an insight and taste of college life; it was the first time I had college-level lectures, and discussions, met like-minded peers, and had a debate on STEM issues. It was the first time my questions were fully answered, and it was the first time in which I realized the true joy and love of learning, that this can be the element that drives one’s life.”
