Tyler Hagenbuch | Vote.org

Political law attorney and social impact strategist Tyler Hagenbuch advises businesses, campaigns, nonprofit organizations, and other clients engaged in a wide range of political and philanthropic activities. 

Tyler is a veteran of President Barack Obama's 2008 and 2012 campaigns and counseled Hillary Rodham Clinton's 2016 presidential campaign and President Joe Biden's campaign in 2020--advising on a wide range of ballot access, election protection, campaign finance, government ethics, and related legal issues.

Tyler has leveraged his in-depth knowledge of political and election administration gained during these presidential campaigns to serve as product counsel to technology companies developing tools to make it easier for voters to vote, learn about candidates, contribute to candidates, or even find rides to the polls. He has successfully sought several Federal Election Commission advisory opinions on behalf of technology companies.

As a consultant in the social impact and strategic philanthropy space, Tyler helps clients meet the current moment by creating civic engagement and social impact solutions that make a difference in the world. 

Tyler has rural roots, a Midwestern mindset, and a lifetime of experience creating dialogue across difference. He currently lives in Los Angeles.

Eliana Arriaga | NSHSS Why Vote? Scholarship for Voter Awareness and Education Winner

Eliana has completed the necessary training to work as an official Election clerk. She dedicated all four years to Speech and Debate and was elected President for two consecutive years. She earned national qualification for Extemporaneous speaking three times. She was elected National Honor Society Parliamentarian in her senior year when she established her school's first-ever voter registration drive. Eliana was accepted into the National Hispanic Institute Texas Lorenzo De Zavala program, where she was elected Chief Justice. She simultaneously loves the arts and has trained in ballet since she was four. Once in high school, she earned her spot in the Ballet Company for all four years. Eliana earned a national honorable mention from the National Honor Society for Dance Arts and was a finalist with the Bexar County League of Women Voters for her self-choreographed contemporary-styled dance. She has also earned awards from the College Board, including the National Hispanic Recognition Program and AP Scholar awards.

Samad Quraishi | NSHSS Why Vote? Scholarship for Voter Awareness and Education Winner

Samad is a George C. Marshall High School high school senior. Samad has loved politics since he was young and believes policy and good leadership are the most powerful tools for bringing about meaningful change. Samad's passion led him to create the Centre for Voters Initiative & Action, a global advocacy group fighting for civics education and youth engagement in government. As part of his work, he led the first sole high school student led bill in Congress, led multiple talks and roundtables with the White House, and works with the United Nations to push for global civic education mandates. Samad hopes to continue his education by attending college, focusing on political science while continuing his work with the Centre.
