Brian Zhou

Brian is passionate about researching and pushing the forefront of applied artificial intelligence and technology. His works have been published in the AAAI and ICML conference proceedings. He has delved into many topics, including mathematical redistricting simulations, crisis forecasting, and autonomous navigation for unmanned vehicles. He is a 4x AIME qualifier and works to establish a youth voice in AI with Encode Justice in his school district and beyond. 
 
With his research background, Brian combines his experience to solve human-focused problems. He is the Director of Vote Absentee Virginia, a 501(c)(4) nonprofit that has registered thousands of Virginia voters to vote by mail. Brian's debating skills rank him in the country's top 10 out of 140,000 debaters. He was also a member of the USA Debate National Development Team and currently captains his school's debate, swim/dive, and Computational Physics teams. Brian is an avid hiker in his free time and enjoys jamming to Macklemore.
