Charlize Ko
Charlize Ko is dedicated to racial justice, gender equality, and the rights of refugees and migrants, using storytelling to inspire change. She is a Project Lead on Amnesty International USA’s Youth Collective, where she bridges art and activism to promote human rights. As a member of Amnesty’s Strategic Planning Working Group, she collaborates with national leaders to shape the 2027-2030 Strategic Framework. Charlize also leads an international animation team across five continents, producing an action film series with 6.2 million views, mentoring artists and pushing the boundaries of storytelling.
Her commitment to racial justice shines through her role as Executive Brand and Strategy Director for Diversify Our Narrative, a nonprofit empowering youth to champion anti-racism, where she has founded annual campaigns and developed strategic plans. Locally, Charlize advocates for Philadelphia’s Chinatown, founding the social media branch of a volunteer coalition opposing predatory development.
In college, Charlize plans to pursue international business and explore how business models and tools can be leveraged to address socio-economic inequities and empower marginalized communities. Whether mentoring creators, organizing communities, or advocating globally, her work reflects a deep belief in the power of storytelling and strategic leadership to create a more equitable future.
