Chase Hartman

Chase Hartman is an entrepreneur and freshman at the University of Florida studying Business Administration through the Honors Program. At ten years old, Chase co-founded a book distribution project, "read.repeat." which eventually developed into a nonprofit called Eco Brothers. He has focused on improving literacy rates and distributed over 225,000 books to 65,000 students in Hillsborough County, FL, and all 50 states. He advocates for more diverse and dual-language books in schools, has raised over $175,000 for literacy and the environment, and has provided 10,000 service hours to teens. Chase was awarded the 2022 Be More Grant from NSHSS for his efforts with diverse and dual-language books. Additionally, Chase is proud of his involvement as an Eagle Scout, Gold Medal Congressional Medalist, Congressional Intern for Kathy Castor (FL-14), and 2024 Coca-Cola Scholar, and thoroughly enjoys engaging with and serving as a mentor in organizations such as Civics Unplugged, the Riley's Way Foundation, and the Sunshine Education Foundation. He hopes to continue uplifting his community through education-based service initiatives by pursuing Consulting, possibly in the nonprofit space, in the future.
