Emma Bayer
Emma Bayer is a Cobb Online Learning Academy high school senior who manages her family’s equestrian barn in Powder Springs, Georgia. She is a 6-time Master 4-Her, all in equine and agricultural science areas. An accomplished equestrian in the equitation, hunter, jumper, and dressage disciplines, Emma has earned top honors at the local, state, regional, and national levels. She is a 2-time Georgia Positive Athlete Regional Winner, 3-time Interscholastic Equestrian Association National Sportsmanship Award finalist, and 8-time varsity lettering athlete through the United States Equestrian Federation. Emma balances her athletics with academics, maintaining a 4.0 GPA in dual enrollment between high school and college courses at Kennesaw State University.
When she is not studying, riding, farming, or leading in 4-H, she runs her charity, Em-Powerment, or volunteers with various community organizations through Girl Scouts. Emma earned her Gold, Silver, and Bronze awards and was recently nominated for the Gold Award Committee’s Young Women of Distinction for her project, increasing awareness, resources, and adoption of senior animals.
Emma aspires to build a career in Animal Science, Agricultural Engineering, and Agribusiness to enhance equine safety and agricultural industry practices.
The NSHSS Nobel Academic Excellence Scholarship recognizes high school juniors and seniors making a positive impact on society, and how college will help these students continue to make an impact for years to come.
