Tanvi is pursuing her passion for computer science and social justice as a freshman studying Human Computer Interaction at Carnegie Mellon University. She is the co-founder/president of Stem Sisters, where she teaches Python to marginalized groups, collaborating with Empower-AI to host workshops on AI and Ethics. As an Advocacy Coordinator for Encode Justice, Tanvi has worked on ethical AI policy development/awareness programs, addressing unethical practices in AI. Tanvi is driven to highlight racial disparities in maternal health, intertwining computer science by creating digital tools, such as websites and apps, and hosting community webinars to raise awareness.

Tanvi's leadership extends globally as a Global Ambassador for Girls-Give-Back. She leads initiatives in over 12 countries, empowering young women through community-driven projects. She has overseen chapters in regions like Shanghai, Lebanon, and Uganda and organized impactful programs such as feminine hygiene drives, mental health seminars, and leadership workshops. She also founded her own chapter, which targets disparities in her community.

At CMU, Tanvi continues to advocate for equity and innovation in all endeavors- winning Social Good Prizes at Hackathons and participating in Computing- Research Conferences. With a dedication to combining technology and social impact, Tanvi aims to create an equitable world for all.

The AI Innovation Scholarship aims to recognize and support students with a passion for artificial intelligence and its applications, fostering their growth as future leaders in this rapidly advancing field.
