NSHSS College Freshman Scholarship

Five (5) $1,000 awards
Eligibility:
NSHSS members who are college freshmen *enrolled in your first semester of college as of August 15, 2023*
Scholarship Details:
College is a big deal. For some students, pursuing a degree is one step closer to their dream job or advancing their future career. Others might take a gap year to travel, join the workforce, and more! According to College Stats (2016), "Every year 2.3 million people obtain college degrees."
No matter the path you chose, NSHSS wants to celebrate the first step towards achieving your goals.
Application Requirements:
- Prompt response of 500-800 words to the following question:
- How did you choose the college you attend, and what motivated you to attend college instead of pursuing other opportunities to achieve your goals?
- Pictures/videos/media showing your leadership in action (optional)
- Color headshot suitable for website posting
- Academic resume
- Current Transcript (can be official or unofficial)
- Educator recommendation letter
