NSHSS First Generation Scholarship
Two (2) $1,000 scholarships
First generation high school seniors, college freshmen, sophomores, and juniors with a GPA of 3.5 or higher
Scholarship Details:
First-generation students are the first in their families to attend a college or university. The First Generation Award was established to recognize and honor first-generation college students for their academic and leadership initiatives. Such leadership and ambition take courage, and NSHSS wants to award students for their positive efforts.
Application Requirements:
Prompt response of 500-800 words to the following question: College can be challenging, from filling out financial aid to enrolling in classes, choosing a major, and making new friends. As a first-generation college student, what challenges have you faced and how did you overcome it?
