Why Vote? Scholarship for Voter Awareness and Education
Award:
Five (5) $1,000 awards
Eligibility:
High school seniors and college students who are 18 years or older or who will be 18 by Election Day. Students should also have a 3.5 GPA or higher.
Scholarship Details:
NSHSS is awarding students who demonstrate an active commitment for spreading awareness/education on the importance of voting in their community.
Application Requirements:
- Prompt response of 500 words or less to the following question:
- Why is voting important to you? Provide specific examples and details of how you are spreading awareness and/or education on the importance of voting in your community.
- Pictures/videos/media showing your leadership in action (optional)
- Color headshot suitable for website posting
- Current Transcript (can be official or unofficial)
- Educator recommendation letter
- Academic Resume
