How to Be More—Advice from Claes Nobel, NSHSS Co-Founder
Take comfort in some advice from Claes Nobel, grand nephew of Alfred Nobel who established the Nobel Prizes, which are recognized worldwide as the most prestigious awards available in the fields of literature, medicine, physics, chemistry, economics, and activism for peace. Claes Nobel emphasized the importance of setting goals and working diligently to achieve them.

NSHSS Intern Readiness Certificate Program
Students have the opportunity to engage in a 10-module program created with the needs of both students and employers in mind. The course registration fee of $195 includes two live, virtual panels with industry leaders in addition to a weekly curriculum of interactive and informative lessons and exercises. Each module covers a specific topic that experts have deemed to be important for an intern’s success.

As a dedicated sophomore at The University of Oklahoma pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education, he is on a thoughtful journey to nurture and shape the minds of young learners. With an unwavering commitment and the exceptional education he is receiving, he is diligently preparing to make a lasting impact on the lives of these impressionable individuals. As he progresses through his studies, he is undoubtedly gaining invaluable insights into the delicate art of guiding young minds, fostering their curiosity, and instilling a love for learning that will serve as a foundation for their future growth. With his anticipated graduation in 2027, he will embark on a rewarding and meaningful career with the knowledge and skills to positively influence the next generation of learners.
Kristine Strosser-Zuniga is an upcoming sophomore at the University of Oregon majoring in Journalism with a minor in Political Science. Kristine currently works within the university’s Student Orientation Programs, interacting with incoming and prospective students and their families. She helps with any questions that prospective students may have as well as assist in the next steps of the enrollment process. Kristine is also an intern for the Student Alumni Association, ran through the University of Oregon’s Alumni Association. Besides all of this, Kristine remains enthusiastic about creating change on her campus and enjoying every moment of college. Go Ducks!
She is a First-Year student attending Centre College in Danville, Kentucky. She plans on majoring in Biochemistry and Molecular Science (BMB) as well as double minoring in Health and Medical study and French. She is currently an International student Mentor, an assistant in the Office of Diversity and Inclusion, and an executive board member in numerous clubs on her campus.
Emma Hudson is a rising Junior Exercise Science Major with a Minor in Health Communication and certificate in leadership at the University of South Carolina Upstate. She works for local SC sports teams and is a diehard Atlanta Braves fan! She is looking into combining the Athletic Training field with Sports Marketing/Communication. In her free time, she is with her family and dogs, collecting sneakers, and watching the Braves!
"Myr'lice' is a Junior at Middle Georgia State University in Macon, GA, majoring in Media and Communications with a concentration in Public Relations. Myr'lice' currently works in her university's Office of Student Life as a Student Assistant for Greek Life and Community Service . She is actively involved in multiple clubs on campus such as Junior Student Leadership and was just named President of her campus' Campus Activities Board. She is also heading her Alternative Break Executive Board as well as a new organization for community service on campus. Myr'lice' is currently assisting her department in creating programs to help students find and engage with communities beyond campus life."
"This is the first time I've heard about NSHSS and my first time applying for a grant. At first, I was unsure about it, but I decided to go for it and fill out the application form. I even asked our principal for a recommendation letter. I was so happy and grateful at the same time when I got an email from NSHSS saying my entry was chosen. I didn't expect it, so I'm really happy about it. These funds will be a big help to our club and will make our experience even more meaningful. It's great to know that there are organizations like NSHSS that support student groups like ours."
